Christmas & economics, a strange couple

Nobel laureate Prof. Daniel Kahneman writes that optimism is the engine of capitalism and that ‘optimistic individuals play a disproportionate role in shaping our lives’. And as this year’s Black Friday sales results put us onto a gloomier Holiday season, how about a good ignition of optimism or perhaps just some good mood going through Prof. Yanis Varoufakis’s excellent last year post on the ‘Seven Economic Views on Christmas’?
